- 1. Safe drivers don’t drink and drive: If they normally get a buzz after drinking three beers, they reduce them to two beers, If they decide to drink more, they call a friend or a cab. Alcohol can be fun, but use it responsibly.
- 2.They don’t check their phones while driving: Safe drivers don’t text and drive. If they have a hard time resisting the urge, they turn their phones off and put them away, its good to stay in touch with your friends, but no text message is worth your life.
- 3. They don’t break the speed limit: Safe drivers don’t floor the gas pedal. If they have a lead foot they make use of their cars cruise control system. Driving fast might save some time, but it isn’t worth the risk of getting demerit points and loosing your licence.
- 4. They don’t take unnecessary risks: Safe drivers don’t pretend to be stunt drivers, if they have to be someplace by a certain time they leave with plenty of time to spare. No one like to be late, but that’s better than having a accident.
- 5. They don’t drive through exhaustion: Safe drivers don’t drive beyond their limits, if they cant keep their eyes opened any longer , they pull over at a well lit rest area so they can take a nap. Caffeine might provide a slight energy boost, but it wont last.
- 6. They don’t engage in aggressive behavior : Safe drivers don’t lose their temper, if they get tailgated, honked at or cut off, they let it go. Revenge is fun to think about, but that doesn’t mean you should act out the fantasy playing in your head, believe me!.

They don’t neglect routine repairs and maintenance: Safe drivers don’t put off their cars repairs, if the car Tyre’s are worn out, they get them replaced, if the brakes are weak and low they get them checked. Its tempting to procrastinate when money is tight, but they don’t. Remember a high speed Tyre blow out can only be a disaster.
